Under Grain & Grain Street receive their official MICHELIN plaques for 2023
For the second year in a row, we are proud to place TWO plaques on the walls of Rosselli Hotel. The previously announced results of the most famous culinary guide – MICHELIN, where Under Grain was awarded one Michelin star for the fourth year in a row and its sister restaurant Grain Street made the Bib Gourmand list for the second year, now materialize into red plaques sealing the history.
Hon. Clayton Bartolo, the Minister for Tourism in Malta and Mr Carlo Micallef, Deputy CEO / Chief Marketing Officer for the Malta Tourism Authority proudly commemorated the awards, officially, on Monday 24th April 2023, presenting our Grain restaurants with two MICHELIN plaques. Under Grain’s MICHELIN Star and Grain Street’s Bib Gourmand were graciously received by Executive Chef Victor Borg, Restaurant Manager Thomas Mifsud Bonnici and Rosselli AX Privilege General Manager Kevin Callus.

The highly acclaimed chef Victor, who is the perennial head of the culinary brigade of both restaurants, nurtured the idea of how he envisioned these restaurants prior to the restoration of Rosselli. And so, it came to fruition and spiralled into an award-winning reoccurrence. The outstanding Under Grain brigade creates culinary masterpieces with vibrant flavour combinations and touches of French gourmet cuisine. While the more casual restaurant Grain Street offers Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant adopts a “without rules” philosophy, where there is no set order of dishes, and many dishes are created to be shared.
Overall, the two restaurants under one roof continue to hold their ground, showcasing their culinary excellence and innovation, which have now been recognized by Michelin for multiple years.
